If only hard water is available, then Everpure BW100 Cartridges part number EV9100-86 can be used as it does not allow scale formation. This also fits in all domestic filter heads. In fact, this can be used even for Culligan DW100 which is used in the U.K.

 

The  4C Cartridge filters Part Number: EV9601-00 are the filters which are used in food service and vending applications like coffee/express machines. These filters can be used for all the Q range filters like QL2, QL3 and QL4. It can be used only for cold water filtration. It is not meant for fitting in the domestic filter heads. The 4C cartridges can filter some other codes like: 4CB5 Part number: EV9617-16; 4CB5-K Part number: EV9617-36 and 4CB5-S Part number: EV9617-26,Alt. Part number: EV9617-21. The above mentioned latter two codes are more expensive because they are anti-scale water filters. If there is a problem of hard water then the Ever pure 4H type would be required. The 4C Cartridges do not remove scales. The 4C Cartridges can also replace Ever pure S-101. One point to be noted is that these filters cannot be used alone with straight well water system.

 

The good thing about BW100 filter Cartridges is that they are good for hard water areas as they do not allow the scale formation. They also remove the chlorine taste and bad smell. It is easy to change. Its life is one year and it filters 5678 litres of  water at the rate of 2 litres per minute.
